You Are Blessed and Cannot Be Cursed!

On this very cold and windy fall season’s Sunday Joel Osteen’s message is titled “You Are Blessed and Cannot Be Cursed!” What a wonderful affirmation the words to today’s title and his words of praise to God are. These are my notes that I took as I watched and listened to Joel’s broadcast today: In life we all have negative situations, no matter what they are, that can cloud our future; Whatever our troubles are remember that, before anyone can put a curse on you, God has put a blessing on you; The good news is the blessing always overrides the curse; When you understand you are a child of the most high God nothing can change your destiny!

Joel quoted these verses of Scripture:

Making the best of life’s setbacks and moving forward to fulfill our God given destiny and our purpose in life is our goal; God has a great life planned out for us; Don’t let your heredity stop your destiny; There is no such thing as the perfect family, so let those problems you faced in your youth fade away, and make the best of life now; Quit making excuses and blaming your troubles on something that has happened in your past or on someone else; Don’t let that ruin the rest of your life, God has breathed His purpose in your life and have faith in your God given purpose!

God will be a Father to the fatherless, you are not a mistake, God has a plan for your life; Live an abundant life that God has chosen for you, get rid of those excuses you may use; The enemy doesn’t fight you for the present, he fights you for your future and what you’re going to achieve for God! Bring forth your seeds of greatness from within because God has given you all you need to succeed; When God puts His blessing on you, and stay in faith, no curse will come against you; No one can curse what God has blessed!

This is the information from the podcast page about today’s message You Are Blessed and Cannot Be Cursed by Joel Osteen:

David said in Psalm 109, “They will curse me, but God, You will bless me.” You may have had a lot of unfair things happen in your past, but your past or even your heredity cannot stop you from God’s destiny because God’s blessing and calling over-rides any curse.

When you understand who you are and what God has already done then no matter what someone else did, no matter how unfair it was, no matter how you were raised, you won’t get bitter and live defeated because you realize that cannot stop you from fulfilling your God-given destiny.

You may not be able to choose where you were born or how you were raised, but you can choose to walk in God’s blessing and fulfill your God-given purpose. You may have had parents that put you at a disadvantage but you didn’t come from your mother; you came through your mother. You came from Almighty God. He gave you life. That means your destiny, assignment and your purpose cannot be ruined by who you came through. You came from the Most High God and He has the ultimate say.

When you understand God’s blessing over-rides any curse, then you will press forward with a holy determination knowing with full confidence that you will see God’s plan for your life unfold.

What God has blessed no one can curse!

Looking within ourselves for life\’s answers is always a mistake. Looking to God to help us with life\’s issues always works best. God Bless you today, Jeff

Curse. Had to do a double-take. Such an oddly old-fashioned word which I will mull. But so many blessings who can feel cursed?
